Transformers 3 Review

Transformers DSOTM is a good movie. There, I said it. Starting off slowly and gently, it introduces the story, the characters and the humor. The 1st hour of the movie is surprisingly funny. The entire audience laughed together many times. Another thing I'm surprised to say... Shia is excellent in this film. He delivers several well delivered laughs, while managing to also pull of his seriously important character. The new GF is also a huge winner. The introduce her, via her ASS, which is am amazingly clear message to the male viewers that says, DON'T WORRY, THE NEW GF IS HOT TOO, and then they introduce the rest of her. A MUCH better, sweeter, more likable, character, played surprisingly well, by a smokin' hot lady. She is incredibly likeable, and is a refreshing surprise in todays world of trash talking, tough girl bitches that beat up the hulk with their bare hands. The actress, and the character she plays, are a big win in this film. She looks more amazing with each passing scene, while sweetly playing her character, a sweet, everyday girl, who loves her BF, and just wants him to be safe and happy, and with her. Megan Fox should be digging the bullets out of her foot with a spoon right now. The new girl is easily the best thing to happen to the new and improved Transformers. Plus, they, of course, already have a super powerful tough girl in the film. Obviously....
Optimus is also much improved. No longer a wuss, Optimus kicks ass and takes names, like the bad ass leader of a race of massive alien robots that he is. Peter Cullen as Optimus is pure gold. As always. The instant he starts speaking. You listen, period.
The interesting thing about the movie, is that after a first half of story and laughs, it developes into an all out war between the autobots, deceptacons, and the humans. The movie starts to feel long, but this is the massive battle that everyone who supports the series deserved, and they got it.
Don't be shy of TF3. No matter how bad TF2 was, this film is very enjoyable, and you gotta see it on a big screen. Transform and Roll out!

Ga Ga Ooh La La - My Lady GaGa Concert Review

Saturday night I had the pleasure of attending the tail end of the Lady Gaga “Monster Ball” tour in Atlantic City. This was the second time I have seen her perform. The first being at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. That night blew me away, and this night exceeded that night.

The impact Gaga has had on those who follow her is instantly visible. Entering the arena is like walking into a fantasy world, created by Gaga and inhabited by her little monsters. Her fans pack the building, dressed like her. Each of them in their own interpretation of Gagas many unique, and creative visual styles. Watching the pretty girls stroll around in micro-mini everything, was a show in itself. But, it didn’t stop with the ladies. Even guys went Gaga. One of them was so done up, the crowd popped when he entered the arena as if it was Gaga herself. It’s a truly bizarre and enjoyable atmosphere. *note: I did order 2 official lady Gaga lightning bolts for our faces, from Ebay, but they failed to arrive on time. Actually… they haven’t arrived yet at all. Hmmmm….*

When the show started, and the little monsters took their seats, nobody in that building had any doubt why they cared enough to dress like the lady on stage. Dancing in the dark got the show rolling. The curtain lifted, exposing an elaborate stage set, that would be super cool for the show. However, it’s not for the show, it’s for the SONG. With each passing number, Gaga and her fellow musicians & dancers, would change the entire set, and wardrobe, for the next song. It’s a site to see. It even exceeds the incredible live efforts of the uber-talented Weird Al, and that is saying A LOT. (if you have not seen Weird Al in concert, you should). Her band is made of an assortment of musicians, who recreate her music so well, you could forget they are there, and think you’re listening to a pre-recorded track.

Gaga herself is wonderful during the show. Constantly praising the fans, expressing her love & appreciate for them, while speaking of love, equality, believing in yourself, and the like. Unlike others, when she speaks about these things, it’s very clear, she means it, believes it, and lives by it.

“Don’t leave here tonight loving me more, leave here tonight loving yourself more. – Gaga

Song after song, set after set, outfit after outfit, she and her crew nailed every song. Gaga even took the time to be sure we all knew that she was not lip syncing, and is NEVER lip sinking. To be sure of that, she put on an awesome display of her powerful and versatile voice. As if she hadn’t been doing that all night already. From strong and gritty, to soft and gentle. This woman is the real deal. A legit singer, and a true musician. She played at least 5 versions of pianos, guitars, and keyboards throughout the show.

The show ended with BORN THIS WAY, (in complete Grammy getup, of course) the 1st single to her upcoming album, which blew the roof off the place. It was a little present, that didn’t need to be done, and the crowd appreciated it. Sure, you can say she did it to sell albums, but the song is already #1, and we already paid for our tickets. She could easily make us wait till the new tour to pay again, in order to see that song live. Gaga never takes the easy way out, and every moment of the show was packed with hard work from her and everyone involved in the show.

As the curtain dropped, Gaga and her crew gathered on stage, and embraced in a group hug. That warm moment between the crew, solidified the message of togetherness, love, & acceptance, that she promoted throughout the show.

To anyone who has a negative opinion of Gaga, and thinks they know what she, and her music are all about. I strongly suggest you put your tail in a seat, and find out for yourself, just how fantastical an entertainer this unique lady really is. When it comes to her business. It’s clear she understands exactly what her job is. To entertain those who support her. When it comes to this. Gaga Delivers, and Re-Delivers, in spades.
